Pop culture with a hangover

Piles of Crap!

One morning I came across an odd sight indeed. There, across from the Lincoln Center in all its swanky splendor were rows of used toilets lined up politely on the sidewalk, awaiting a fate worse than…well, they were already toilets. The funny thing is that they happened to be strewn outside the very hotel that Laura and I stayed in the first time we came to the big city (yes, it was together). I shed a nostalgic tear, and also one leaked due to roaring laughter, ‘cause toilets are funny.

And on this day the very same, whilst passing the afternoon strolling through Brooklyn Bridge Park, what did my baffled eyes behold but an old pile of rusty sinks. For serious. Restaurants DUMBO-wide must have decided unanimously that this was the day they would all leave their old sinks artistically piled high in the afternoon sun. So I took me another picture.

And there you have it, pictorial evidence of the day I spent ogling crap in the street. Ah.
