New York will be underwater a lot sooner than we thought

Another fine link from AlterNet, but this one’s even scarier. You know how the newly dubbed Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore, as well as most of his scientist cronies, have been saying that the end of days from global warming is still another few decades off (and possibly preventable altogether)? Well, it turns out they’re wrong…dead wrong. As in, it’s happening right soon, and New York is on the short list of cities that are going to bite it first.
