I hate when people say “But where’s the line?”

You know when you’re discussing some really dull hot topic with a coworker or acquaintance, making small talk about the Octomom or American Idol for example, and they pull one of these out?
“But where’s the line?”
They really mean, “Where do you draw the line?” but they’re in too much of a hurry to say the whole thing, probably because they’re on the way to hang out with some other douchenozzles and talk about more bullshit.
Sample usage:
“That Octomom sure is a crazy bitch, but I guess we all have the right to have as many kids as we want.”
“But where’s the line?…”
It’s annoying because the person always says it with this smug expression, like they’re blowing your mind. They also think they’re really getting into some deep conversation territory right now, whereas they sound more like TV’s Mike and Juliet.
